Prof. Jarjani Usman, M.Sc., M.S., Ph.D is a lecturer at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. He completed his PhD in education from Deakin University, after completing his master’s programs (M.Sc.) from Universiteit Twente, the Netherlands; MS from Texas A&M University, the USA, and BA degrees from Universitas Indonesia and Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry.  He has published in many internationally reputed journals.  His research interests are teaching English, curriculum, beliefs, humor, and discourse analysis.
