USING THE THEORY OF PLANNED BEHAVIOR TO EXPLAIN THE INTENTION OF USING CASH WAQF LINKED SUKUK
Abstract
The CWLS investment instrument is a social funding instrument in Islam which has played an important role in developing education, health and the economy. The magnitude of the potential for CWLS in Indonesia is not commensurate with the number of investors and funding, so there is a gap between potential and realization. This research uses the theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) model to measure the behavioral intentions of prospective investors in using Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk from the perspective of Islamic banking customers. The research method used quantitative with West Java Community respondents who are Sharia Banking customers and there were 119 respondents. The aim of this research is to predict the intention of Islamic banking customers to donate money through sukuk or CWLS in West Java. The research results show that attitude toward behavior and subjective norms have no effect on behavior intention, while perceived behavior intention has an effect on behavior intention in using Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk. Apart from that, the demographic variable is only age which is able to moderate Attitude toward behavior towards Intention behavior in using Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk. This is due to the lack of public knowledge, low education and weak levels of trust in CWLS so that stakeholders must make efforts to bring CWLS closer through socialization and promotion to the community, especially people of productive age.
