KECENDERUNGAN ADIKSI SMARTPHONE DITINJAU DARI JENIS KELAMIN DAN USIA

Abstract


Adiksi smartphone merupakan suatu keadaan dimana individu sulit untuk berhenti menggunakan smartphone dan menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan sosial seperti menarik diri, dan kesulitan dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kecenderungan adiksi smartphone ditinjau dari jenis kelamin dan usia di kota Banda Aceh. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik quota sampling dengan jumlah 300 sampel. Terdiri dari 150 sampel berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan 150 berjenis kelamin perempuan, berada pada rentang usia remaja dan dewasa awal. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah adaptasi Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV) dengan koefisien nilai reliabilitas penelitian sebesar (α)= 0,928. Uji hipotesis menggunakan independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai t=-0,313, dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0,754 (p < 0,05) yang tidak terdapat perbedaan kecenderungan adiksi smartphone ditinjau jenis kelamin. Namun pada kategori usia, terdapat kecenderungan adiksi terhadap smartphone dengan nilai t sebesar -1,976 dan p = 0,049 (p < 0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat kecenderungan adiksi smartphone ditinjau jenis kelamin, sedangkan pada kategori usia, remaja memiliki kecenderungan adiksi terhadap smartphone dibandingkan usia dewasa awal.
